The city's public schools are administered by the Wake County Public School System, and include three elementary schools, one middle school and Holly Springs High School. Wake Technical Community College provides further education for town residents. Attractions include Devils Ridge Golf Course, 46-acre Parrish Womble Park, 90-acre Bass Lake Park and a combination town cultural center-library. The town's booming population is bringing in jobs and companies; Rex Healthcare was granted state approval in 2008 to construct a 9,000-square-foot outpatient facility here, and another healthcare provider has requested state approval to build a full-service hospital in the community. Meanwhile, there are three major medical centers and a number of hospitals scattered about the region. |
