Located on the western side of the Big Island, the town of Captain Cook, Hawaii, is home to a population of just over 3,000 residents. Construction, agriculture, tourism and education are the largest industries in the region. The town is named after named after Captain James Cook, who discovered the Hawaiian islands. The town has a few hotels and a number of bed and breakfasts, while Kona Country Club is nearby.
