San Clemente, Orange County, California is a city, six miles south of San Juan Capistrano, with just over 70,000 people. He christened the area San Clemente, designing a 2,000-acre community with classic Spanish colonial style red tile roof buildings. Hanson, a visionary, realized that the pleasant climate, pristine beaches and incredibly fertile soil of the area be a haven to future generations who wished to escape the big city life for something simpler and more tranquil.
