Just a few miles east of the Pacific Ocean’s shores of Monterey Bay, Corralitos, California, lies about 15 miles east of Santa Cruz in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The town is rather small, with a population of only around 2,500 residents. Corralitos is south of the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, west of Mt. Madonna County Park and nearby the Spring Hills Golf Course, providing those here with multiple opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors. A large number of the population residing here find employment in the education, health care and professional services sectors.

The nearest hospital is in Watsonville, just four miles away, and the nearest commercial airport is in San Jose, about 25 miles away. There is one K-8 school located in the town, and students attend high school at neighboring villages. Though a small town, Corralitos is a thriving one, with a number of local churches sprinkled throughout and a higher than average annual household income. The majority of homes here are owned rather than rented, though there are also rental units available.
