More About Me

Combining Old Fashion Service with Cutting Edge Technology Originally from the small town of Mt. Sterling, which is located 30 minutes east of Lexington, Kentucky, I came to Lexington in the fall of '97 to attend the University of Kentucky. Working my way through school with part-time jobs, internships, and a co-op program, I graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. At the time, I was working for a small engineering firm in Lexington which offered me a full-time position in charge of designing all test equipment and procedures of their products while also working exclusively with the company's patent lawyer. After close to two and half years with the company, I decided to pursue my Masters in Business Administration. It was at this point that I finally got the opportunity to enter the field that I had always had an interest in, real estate. Having a family history of builders and carpenters, the new construction scene is very familiar. During the summer of 2005, I spent 6 weeks in Italy where I received a top notch education in International Business and the Kepner-Tregoe Mind-Based Decision Making. As of December 2005, I have received my MBA degree from the University Kentucky. I now sit having both my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from UK. Being a native of the area, like everyone else, I am a huge UK sports fan, especially the UK Basketball program. I take every opportunity I can to watch the Cats on television, but preferably in person. Unlike many realtors, this career was definitely a choice and not just an option. I bring to my customers the mentality and work ethic of an engineer, a well educated business mindset, and the people skills of a typical country boy. I simply love getting to know my clients and assisting them with whichever Real Estate process it may be. My goal isn't to merely gain clients but to build friendships. After all who do you enjoy helping more, friends or strangers?

Client Testimonials

Nick, thanks so much for helping me find and negotiate obtaining the perfect condo in Lexington this year. The market was flooded with sellers (and their agents) making promises that you knew couldnt be kept. Your guidance separated the genuine deals from the fantasy ones and your level-headed and down-to-earth advice, even when I really didnt want to hear it, was invaluable in keeping me from making the mistakes that I believe others have made. These are tricky times in real estate. When I need to make another purchasing decision in Lexington you will be my first call. Good luck with Keller Williams Bluegrass. I am sure you will continue to do well. Richard P. Schiller I was watching one of those home shows the other night with my sister and brother in law. You know those shows where the realtor is taking the first time home buyers around to find their first home. The realtor made a comment to the camera during the show that the buyers should be ready to buy a house by now and she seemed kind of put out by the whole situation. She had showed them 4 houses!!! Yes, 4 houses and thought they should be ready! We were all appalled. I turned to my family and said "man, my poor realtor". Nick probably showed me no less than 40 houses when I was looking and we made 3 offers that never seemed to pan out. Months of looking in every section of town, sometimes with me towing 2 kids that were not amused in the least. He had the patience of Job and never once made me feel like I was a nuisance to him. I believe one round of houses we did in the driving snow. I was immensely discouraged. He phoned me one day and mentioned another house to me. Upon first glance it didn't appear to be what I was looking for, but I humored him and went :) I bought it. We have never had a days regret here and my family and I are thankful every day that he put up with me. We were so impressed that about a month or so later, my parents decided to move to Kentucky, so we did it again. Nick and I looked at tons of houses, this time in a 3 city territory. I thought he would fire me by the time it was over. Then it was time for my parents to come and to take them to the ones we narrowed it down to. I am not underestimating that between these 2 purchases, he probably took us to 100 different houses and never batted an eye. We are all grateful for the patience and compassion he showed us. Our homes weren't big $$ purchases, so it isn't like he did it strictly for a big sale. He did it because he has a heart for his clients and that is important. Purchasing a home is an emotional decision and it takes a person that realizes it to make it a positive experience. We have been in our home going on 2 years and we still keep in touch with Nick. He became our friend instead of our "realtor". Gena Massarone
